Well there you have it, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 sitting pretty on the two big consoles aswell as the overall chart! I shuddered when I saw that Just Dance was second in the cross-platform chart, come on people, buy some proper games!! Also, Aliens vs Predator holding on with its.. claws..? to the middle of the charts, I think people may be buying that second hand rather than new from now on, so this will probably drop off next week. We’ll see.

This weeks offering for iPhone game of the week just so happens to be one of the more popular PopCap games played either at their site or on payed download. As of a few weeks ago, they have brought the game to the iPhone…

Yes, it could only be Plants vs Zombies.

The game that has lost people many hours of their days finally made the jump over to the iPhone and now they can utilise the hours of commuting to slaughter those pesky zombies.

If you aren’t familiar with the game, the basics are that you plant flowers etc in your garden to shoot and/or stop the zombie hoard from getting to your house. There are quite a few different types of plants to choose form, some shoot, some are bombs… but the main aim of the game is to survive the zombie onslaught. To be able to buy the plants to protect yourself with you need to collect sun, this either falls from the sky or is produced by, well of course, the humble sun-flower.

This is a very addictive game, and if you’re a tower defence nut, then this will be right up your street. As has been mentioned though, be prepared to loose many hours to this game!!

Name is Kingsley, I am the glorious age of 20, I live just on the out side of Liverpool, in a town called Kirkby which is filled with PJ wearing chavs who drink white lightning. I am not one of them

What do you do to pay the bills every month?
I am a Payroll/Human resources/Personnel Administrator for a haulage firm, It sounds impressive, but it’s not as cool as it sounds.

What are your Hobbies (if any)?
As you all know I love my music (if you have me on facebook all I post are lyrics when I am bored, or you have heard my singing during our game sessions usually abit of Billy Joel, Lighthouse family and many many many more), play abit of guitar, but I am hardly any good. Love Football, follower of Everton all my life. I used to be into martial arts but after an ankle injury I had to pack it in, hopefully I will be able to start back up soon, I left with a Black belt in Ju-jitsu, so don’t mess with me

Whats you favourite beverage?
It used to be a huge fan of Jack Daniel’s and coke, but due to unforeseen circumstances it has changed to sprite

What is your favourite game of all time?
Hard one…I think it would have to be one of the first Mario or sonic games, I grew up on them, and they led the way for the games you see around today.

I currently own all consoles beside a PS3 (Christmas present ) and a DSi

The latest addition is my xbox 360 (on my 3rd one) about 3 months ago.

How did you choose/what (or who) made you pick it/them?
Being a huge fan of Everton FC, under the crest you will see ‘Nil Satis Nisi Optimum’ Which is latin for Nothing but the best is good enough (which is far from what the team are doing at the min ) so I changed my GT to ‘Nil Satis Kings’, Nothing But Kings sums me up well.

Though the Xbox forums.

What made you decide to join TCR?
Looking though the board I seen that everyone is down to earth and up for banter which I loved. I definitely made the right decision to sign up, its the first and only forum I have signed up for, and I wouldn’t change that.

Since February 09

Do you have any bestest fwends on the forum?
I like to think that everyone was my friend on the forum, but if I had to pick one I think it would have to be Josh, as we both seem to be missing something in the mental health department. – you’re not kidding – ed

What would you like to see from TCR in the future?
I am happy the way things are, if there was anything I would like to see a few new members, and a couple more gaming nights.

If you could give one piece of advice to new members, what would it be?
GET MORE INVOLVED!! Don’t be scared to post, chat, add us on live, jump in the games. I mean just let go, no one will bite, unless you ask nicely that is.

Well there you have it, Modern Warfare 2 sitting pretty on the two big consoles aswell as the overall chart! It smashed the record set by GTA 4 last year like only a CoD game could. Strange to see Treyarch porting CoD4 over to Wii and releasing the same week as Modern Warfare 2, marketing ploy possibly?

Well the Call of Duty games seem to have done a runner again, that was a short stay! but this may well be because of the plethora of new games being released last week. Batman still reigning supreme on the PS3 chart, but dropping on the other charts. The new entries this week are Guitar Hero 5 (with a great set list), The Beatles: Rock Band (not my cup of tea, but obviously selling loads) and Colin McRae: Dirt 2. The music games have performed well getting into all of the top 5’s, and i can see them staying there for a few weeks, as people save up for the box sets etc.
